"But there are players who have resisted touch-screen and motion-control gaming, preferring the precision of two-handed controllers"

I read this and could not help but laugh. This guy actually thinks that dual analog is more precise than Wiimote and nunchuk? In some games perhaps, but in FPS games Wiimote pointer will trump the dual analog any day of the week. The cavemen will disagree with me but it is fact. Either Wiimote and nunchuk or keyboard and mouse ARE the ...

Thank you! It makes sense now. I have wondered about this for awhile now, but haven't lost any sleep over it. Another thing i don't get is why you have 2 bubbles. I have seen many of your comments and we seem to have the same mind set to an extent, although I do not comment as much. Don't reply, save your bubble to share knowledge with another within this topic.

I assume you never heard of Pearl Harbor? Oh I forgot, revisionist history, the holocaust is just a story to tell kids to scare them too. Good job graduate.

While I do like that Wii games cost less than the other 2 systems I agree with the article concerning the N64 game costs. I too payed $70 for some 64 games, which I do not recall. One thing I do not understand though, why is it that the exact same game on PC is cheaper than PS360?

I posted awhile ago an idea that I had for the achievements. Just to make it easy and keep you from jumping through a link I will copy/paste:

"Just me but I have an idea for the coin system. Lets say there are 50 coins(achievements) in game-X, after you collect 25 of these coins you receive a mushroom as your milestone. Collect all 50 coins and you receive a star. If the Wii U, Nintendo Network, and Club Nintendo are all linked together then every mushroom and star you r...

@ DwightOwen

I normally do not log in I simply read the articles and the comments and move along but I have to agree with you 100%. I am glad to see that there are people like me out there that have multiple gaming systems yet play when time is available. I became stuck in this crazy life thing and it doesn't allow many opportunities to game but when I do, I have options. Neither us us are "hardcore" it seems.

And while we are at it, why not just shut down E3 altogether since info will be available all year long.

I noticed that too and was wondering the same thing. Perhaps 5 June is Wii U/3DS and 1st party games and 6 June is Wii U and 3DS 3rd party offerings. Maybe I am way off but the 2 dates make me wonder.

I agree that the 4th can not come soon enough but, imagine the torture that will begin when we learn the it will be launching in the fall! I cannot wait!

Believe it or not, I too received a beta code to try out GRO and I was excited to try it out since i will be purchasing a Wii U but, I am MAC user and could not play unless I installed some Microsoft software. Installing MS software on a MAC kind of defeats the point in my opinion.

It will never completely die off but some day there will be a small FPS group. When I was younger fighting games like MK and SF were all the rage. You had Clay Fighters, that one with the dinosaurs, and others. It seemed to me that the fighting craze has died down but is still around and that is what i feel will happen to the FPS genre.

One of the pictures lists "Damaged Consoles". I am pretty sure that is not a title and since the Wii-U hasn't launched yet, why would there be a need for that listing?

I have felt that the Wii U could launch 30 Sept. It is a Sunday and close to the 29 Sept launch that the N64 had in '96. I am only speaking for North America and only think this due to some of the games that will be launching in Oct. and Nov. this year.

Bought my GCN on launch for $199.99, and bought every launch game as well.I think I accidentally clicked disagree, I was lounging when I clicked so I will give a bubble to make up for it. Sorry about that.

@ MattyG
I'm not completely sure that it is his son because he would be more near to my age, somewhere between 30 and 38, if he was born late '70s early '80s. I was born in 81 and will be 31 in November. If Mason was born in '33 he would be 82-83 in 2012, my grandfather is 82 this year, and he would have needed to been in his mid to late 40s when his son was born. I am now leaning on it being his grandson after reading what I wrote. I also feel that 3arch are better a...

Collect all 50 coins and you receive a star. If the Wii U, Nintendo Network, and Club Nintendo are all linked together then every mushroom and star you receive could earn you 5 or 10 coins on Club Nintendo and you can spend them on any thing you choose. This plan could potentially push gamers to strive for stars on a...

29 Sept 2012. That is when I thought it would release when they announced it would be launching this year.

Funny, 90% of you commenting have never played CoD on Wii yet you feel the need to comment negatively. The main reason is because of the huge about of advertisement that has been provided only showcases the 360. Several guys on base didn't even know it was coming to the Wii until I mentioned it to them. Some of you mentioned that you would rather play on an HD system and I understand that but, The Wii offers better controls than the PS360 could ever imagine. I have W@W for both my PS3 and...

I pay that much or more as well since I usually get a few games with my new Nintendo system. Really though, the Wii is the first Nintendo home console to break the $199 launch price in NA. I see the Wii U priced at $250-$300.....hopefully.
